 Madison

Authors Note: My brother Zach goes to Madison. When we visit I have a lot of fun and decided to tell you all about it.

When I visit my brother in Madison I do a ton of fun things! When we first enter Madison  I know I’m there because I see the octopus car wash and restaurant that has ferris wheel on the outside of it. I pass the Lake Menona where I often ice fish with my dad, and the tennis courts to Zach’s dorm. We park and go up to his room.

No matter if I come from the Lake Shore Dorms or the Southeast Dorms I still enter State Street from the same place. You come in pass the lemonade, smoothie, and at&t stands. Then we passed 3 blocks to the 400 block where the Parthenon Gyros is we eat there most of the time. On State Street there are many restaurants that are very original, so you wouldn't find them in Pewaukee. But there is also some that are more common such as Buffalo Wild Wings. After we eat we go shopping for clothes and my favorite hats! There is many places you can get badger hats such as the bookstore. But my favorite place to go is the Sacred Feather. You can get any hat imaginable there. Including sombreros, cowboy hats, and hats made to look like bunnies. Another place we usually go to is The University Book store. The University Book store has everything badger, school supplies, and text books. It is fun to go to because, you always see something new every time you go. After we are done shopping for clothes, we go and get dessert. There are 2 ice creams shops (Coldstone and Dairy Queen), and a bakery on State Street that we often go in. When we are done with our delicious treat we head back to Zach’s dorm.

Before we head home, we go to Gordmans in West Towne Mall. Gordmans is sort of like Kohls but the clothes are better and it has some things Kohls doesn’t have. When I get older and have a car I will go to Gordmans all the time, because it is my favorite store. I hope to get in to Madison when I am older, because I love being there.

Aleena 3

Authors Note: I was reading my blog and noticed that I had never finished the story of Aleena.  Before reading this go to the bottom of my blog and read the beginning 2 stories.

“I thought you were dead!” exclaimed Aleena, “you should have came here right away.”
“Don’t be mad at me. I didn’t know what to do,” said Lauren.
“I’m not mad at you, I’m just upset that my mom died,” cried Aleena.
“I’m sorry, I just don’t know what to do, I don’t want to go back home,” said Lauren.
“Well you can stay here, but my dad can't know, and you have to tell your mom. I saw her in the super market the other day and she was worried sick about you,” Aleena stated.
“But I can’t tell her she’ll never believe me,” Lauren worried.
“She’ll believe you,” promised Aleena.
“But what if my dad is home?” Lauren questioned.
“Call her,” Aleena said while passing Lauren her cell phone. When the call was over Lauren’s mom decided that Lauren did need to stay away from her dad. But she didn’t allow her to stay at Aleena’s house she had to move 1500 miles away to California with her aunt.
“I’ll never see you again!” Aleena yelled. They both started crying, because of the bad news.
“My mom said I could come back one time each year to visit, but it still won’t be enough,” Lauren said.
“First I lose my mom and now you,” said Aleena. The next morning Lauren left for California, and Aleena was left alone. Day after day Aleena interacted with almost nobody, the occasional “hi” wasn’t likely. She was depressed, and she totally forgot about the time machine idea. About a month after Lauren left Aleena looked at a clock to tell how far away supper was. The machine told time.
“A time machine! I need to use the clock to get Lauren and my mom back,” Said Aleena. At that time Aleena remembered her time machine idea for the first time in 5 weeks and she starts building. Connecting wires to wires to things to the clock hoping something will work. One week later, she connects a final wire to her wrist. It moves her 2 months before hand the day her mother was killed. She saw the awful man pull the trigger, Aleena jumped in front of the bullet
The End.

Aleena 2

Authors Note: This is a sequel to Aleena. This story is about a girl in our time who lives in a poor country that is trying to bring her mom back to life. Every time the setting changes I wrote it like a play so, it tells you where or what time and then what happens during that period of time.

After Aleena's mother died her dad has not acted the same.  Aleena was upset that her mother had died. She wanted to reverse time so that her mother had never died.  She had to  find a way to reverse time. Reversing time was in no way possible-- at the time.  Aleena had her mind set she was going to reverse time so her mom would never die. She didn't know where to start.

Day 1: 2/6/98- Aleena woke up it was a Sunday morning the sun was shining through the blinds into here eyes.  She turned on the small television in her room. Wake Up News was on,  it said that a girl her age had been kidnapped the night before. Then they showed a picture of her, it was her friend, her best friend! Her best friend(Lauren) had been kidnapped. Now she really wanted to find a way to reverse time.

"What if I make a time machine?" Aleena thought, "How would I do that?  I could hook up old videos and pictures of her to my computer,  but then what?" Aleena thought and thought for many days.

Day 13: 2/19/98-  It was a Friday, Aleena just had gotten home from school. She peered out her living room window. It was snowing, everything was white.  She opened the window and stuck her head out looking up, she could see the snow falling down onto her face. She could see the long tree branches hanging over her house. She could see strange looking clouds in the sky. She looked down. Then she pulled her head in the house and closed the window. At that time she remembered her and Lauren playing in the snow, making snowman, snow balls, and snow angels. Then she remembered her mom hanging her head out the window calling her in for supper.

Day 14: 2/19/98- Aleena was sitting down at her desk when she heard the doorbell ring. She ran to the door wondering who it was. She opened up the door it was Lauren. She was wearing nothing but shorts and a tank-top she was shivering her feet looked frosted over because she was walking through the snow.  She had a black eye. I asked her what had happened.

She responded, "my dad punch me because I didn't do my chores. I ran away because I didn't want to face him.  He called the cops and said I was kidnapped because he didn't want to get in trouble for punching me. I have been spending the past 2 weeks in the library and right before they closed I would go to the bathroom so they couldn't see me. Last night they caught me. I didn't know where to go so I came here.

Aleena 1

Authors Note: I wrote this story at school one day. This is a story based on a girl in our time you lives in a strange country.  Tell me if you think the story jumps around a lot.  Every time the setting changes I wrote it like a play so, it tells you where or what time and then what happens during that period of time.

Once upon a time in a land known as Amounsus, there was a girl named Aleena. She lived with her father named Samsus, and her brother named Kevus. One day Aleena was asked by her father to go to market to get a small fish and a loaf of bread.

At the market:  When Aleena got to the market she first went to get the fish. She paid for it with the small amount of money her dad had given her.  Aleena put the fish in her basket and started walking  toward the bread stand.  Right before she got there she saw a smuggling a loaf of bread into his jacket. The stand worker was not there and it was easy for the man to grab the bread. Aleena didn't know what to do about the man. She ripped the  loaf out of his jacket pocket. The man flinches back and runs to get away from the trouble. At that moment the stand worker came back, Aleena still had the loaf in her hand. The stand worker called the police.

The next day: Samsus called Aleena into the kitchen.

"I heard you stole a loaf of bread and the police were called, "Aleena's dad said.

"I would never, " Aleena exclaimed, "When I went up to get bread for you the worker wasn't there and a man was trying to steal bread. So I grabbed it out of his pocket and he ran away. When the worker came back I still had the bread in my hands and he though I had stolen it. Then he called the police. "

"How can I believe you? "  Samsus questioned Aleena.

"I'm your daughter you have to believe me!" Aleena yelled while she marched away from her dad. Aleena wrote a page in her diary,  it read:

Dear Diary,

Why doesn't my dad believe me anymore? Ever since my mom died he hasn't acted the same. If only I could reverse time so my mom had never died.  Could I a 14 year old valley girl do that?

Sincerely,
Aleena
